Now Microsoft has released the phone call functionality for everyone who uses Your Phone app. Those who are interested to make phone calls should note that Your Phone App should be installed on your Windows 10 device. Moreover, your Android phone needs to be linked to it.
Phone Call Functionality Doesn’t Work For Everyone
Microsoft conducted an extensive testing phase in order to ensure the seamless implementation of the feature. However, some Windows 10 users are still experiencing some problems while using the call option. According to the reports, the smartphones are constantly losing Bluetooth connection to the PC. People are annoyed by the fact that the problem restricts users from enabling the Phone call feature. Some people highlighted the problem on the Microsoft Answers forum: “im using oneplus 7 pro, and everything else works on Your phone app (sms texts, notifications, photos)…i just cant enable calls. tried to repair Your phone app, always the same, connection process go trough, i confirm pin, enable DUN setting, then in the app, i get a message “we couldn’t finish connecting” and calls dont work” As of now, Microsoft has not officially acknowledged the problem. However, some clever users found a workaround to fix this issue. If you are on the same boat, you should go to the Windows Bluetooth page to unpair your smartphone. Then, open your phone’s Bluetooth menu list and delete your computer. Finally, scan again from Windows to pair your phone and the PC. Several users confirmed that the Bluetooth connection seemed to work perfectly well by following these steps. Most importantly, they were able to make phone calls from Your Phone App. As a quick reminder, it is not the first time that Windows 10 users experienced problems with the calling feature.
